deSter achieves EcoVadis Gold Rating

Hoogstraten, Belgium, 1 June 2023 – deSter, a leading provider of sustainable and innovative food packaging and serviceware concepts for the travel and foodservice industries, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Gold Rating. This recognition by EcoVadis places us in the top 2% of evaluated companies in our industry, with an outstanding score of 76. Previously holding a Silver rating for two consecutive years, deSter has significantly improved its sustainability performance.

EcoVadis is globally one of the most trusted and independent rating agencies that assess companies’ sustainability practices across various industries with a global network of 100,000+ rated companies. Its methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000.

The EcoVadis assessment framework evaluates companies based on their policies, actions, and results in four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Achieving the Gold rating showcases deSter’s dedication to integrating sustainability into its operations and supply chain, ensuring a positive environmental and societal impact.
