deSter reaffirms its EcoVadis Silver Rating

Hoogstraten, Belgium, 11 April 2022 – deSter, leading supplier of innovative food packaging and serviceware concepts for aviation and food service industries, is proud to announce to have improved its overall EcoVadis score and re-affirm its Silver Rating. The company was able to reach a score of 65 compared to the last year’s score of 54. This brings deSter to the top 10% of all rated companies in the industry.
To keep the EcoVadis rating valid, companies are required to submit necessary documentation annually and get evaluated by the independent committee of EcoVadis.

Improving its EcoVadis score is a very important part of deSter’s ESG strategy and the company is confidently moving forward. The goal for next years is to obtain Gold Rating establishing outstanding sustainable practices and be an example for other companies in the industry.

As the core of its ESG strategy and in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals, Ellen McArthur Foundation and Glasgow Declaration, deSter set up ambitious goals not only related to products but also to the planet and its people.

• We work exclusively with responsible resources and sustainable materials
• Remove all added fluorinated compounds from packaging materials

• 100% of our products create zero waste

EcoVadis Silver Rating confirmed the progress on the above goals and will continue drive performance of deSter in the future.
