We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of a company‑wide ERP transformation, implementing Microsoft Dynamics across the organization. This initiative is known internally as Project SuperNova.
This is a contract position with permanent potential for the right candidate. You will work directly alongside the Project Lead, take accountability for planning, vendor governance, stakeholder alignment, and delivery discipline, and ensure the program reaches go-live on a credible and controlled timeline.
Beyond SuperNova, deSter has a growing ERP transformation roadmap. Candidates with an appetite to grow into subsequent programs will find a real opportunity here: future projects include the migration of our Barcelona and Frankfurt sites from SAP to D365 F&O.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end project planning, including milestone tracking, risk management, issue escalation, and decision logs.
- Manage and govern the external implementation partner, ensuring deliverables are met on scope, quality, and timeline.
- Lead weekly project and workstream meetings; support in preparing executive-level reporting for the leadership team and board.
- Coordinate internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure adequate test participation and sign-off.
- Maintain a rigorous change control process, tracing scope and quantifying their impact.
- Drive alignment between the ERP program and the ERP continuity workstream, ensuring business-as-usual operations are not disrupted during transition.
Core Competencies and Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years leading ERP implementations.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. You understand the functional architecture, not just the project lifecycle.
- Proven track record of managing external implementation partners, including performance management and escalation.
- Fluent in English. Additional languages (Dutch, German, Spanish) are a plus given deSter’s international footprint.
- Strong governance instincts: experienced in scope control, change management, and structured decision-making.
- Able to communicate with clarity and confidence. You can distill a complex program status into a crisp, credible message.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where not everything is neatly defined.
