The DO & CO Restaurants and Catering AG sold its stake in Supplair BV of 34.42% to deSter and signed a strategic partnership for a worldwide co-operation.
While deSter- with more than 1.000 employees in 14 countries over 3 continents and expected sales figures for 2005 of approx. Euro 220 Mio - is the world's leading premier in-flight equipment supplier , its new acquisition Supplair is focused on budget driven and creative food service solutions, especially for economy class passengers.
Together with DO & CO- with more than 1.300 employees and 9 gourmet kitchens - who is specialized in high quality and premium airline catering, the new strategic alliance will offer a unique and rich product portfolio to all its worldwide clients.
In 2005 the new strategic partners will already generate cumulative sales of appr. Euro 350 Mio and expect strong growth opportunities on the world market.
The "specialist model" with complementary core competencies of all the partners will offer very innovative and flexible onboard solutions to the airline industry.
The combined businesses create an interesting partner and player in an increasingly consolidating airline catering market.
